About Jennifer Nam

I am a Stanford University-trained clinical psychologist with specialties in the treatment of mood disorders, emotion dysregulation issues, anxiety disorders, and in working with individuals struggling with relationship-related issues. I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative environment, and I will work with you to tailor clinical interventions to fit your needs and goals.

Making changes in one's life can be very challenging, but can be, ultimately, rewarding. Therapy is a process in which I help support you in defining goals and improving skills to: strengthen your sense of self, manage your mood and worries, improve your connection with others, and allow you to recognize and appreciate what aspects of your life that add value and meaning to your life.

My approach integrates different evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  These are active, practical, skills-based and engaged forms of therapy-- which focus on making positive changes in one's current life.
